# Project Introduction – AXIS ’25

AXIS ’25 is a dynamic national ICT convention organized by the Royal College Computer Society, designed with the vision of bringing the cutting-edge technologies of developed nations to Sri Lanka. The project aimed to unite professionals, students, and technology enthusiasts from diverse ICT domains including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Networking, and Digital Innovation on a single platform to accelerate technological growth and national development.

Centered around the theme **“RetroTech”**, AXIS ’25 symbolized the connection between the technological evolution of the past and the intelligent innovations of the future. The convention served as a milestone in Sri Lanka’s school-level ICT movement, offering a powerful environment for showcasing innovation, knowledge sharing, and industry engagement.

Held on **2nd September 2025** at the **Royal Mas Arena**, AXIS ’25 marked a historic breakthrough as the largest and most influential ICT convention ever organized by a school society in Sri Lanka. The event brought together thousands of students, educators, industry professionals, and technology leaders, transforming the venue into a national hub of future-focused learning and inspiration.

The convention featured a comprehensive ICT Conference, Future Tech Exhibition, and multiple large-scale competitions, allowing participants to witness live hackathon presentations, robotics showcases, AI applications, cybersecurity challenges, immersive technologies, and innovative student-led solutions. These experiences provided both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, enabling participants to understand real-world applications of modern technology.

AXIS ’25 also functioned as a national platform for empowering young innovators by breaking economic and accessibility barriers. Through mentorship, exposure, competition, and recognition, the project provided students with lifetime-valuable opportunities under the guidance of industry experts. Cash awards, public recognition, and professional feedback further motivated participants to continue developing their ideas into impactful real-world solutions.

With the participation of over **20 leading schools across Sri Lanka**, and more than **550 students in total**, AXIS ’25 successfully demonstrated how collaboration, innovation, and education can unite to shape the future of ICT in the country. The convention not only celebrated technological excellence but also strengthened the bridge between school education and the national technology industry.

AXIS ’25 therefore stands not merely as an event, but as a movement — redefining how school-level ICT initiatives can influence national technological progress while inspiring the next generation of Sri Lankan innovators, entrepreneurs, and digital leaders.
